Crisis Line Volunteer Advocates
Sarah's Inn offers a 24-hour crisis line service to victims and families affected by domestic violence. Crisis line volunteer advocates make a difference in victim's lives, offering emotional support, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals to callers in a manner consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Sarah's Inn. Childcare Volunteers
We are always seeking childcare volunteers to watch over the children of our clients when they are in group. This volunteer position is on-going, weekly for 6 months starting as soon as possible. Locations vary and a shift is typically for 1.5 hours. A 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocacy Training is required to become a childcare volunteer at Sarah's Inn. Three training sessions are offered per year at our main office. Learn more about this class here. A completed application and an interview is required.
Community Outreach and Education Volunteers
Community Outreach and Education volunteers serve as representatives for Sarah's Inn at community fairs, special events, and at various outreach locations within our service area. Our trained* COE volunteers play a critical role in helping to build the foundation for new partners and potential clients for Sarah's Inn.

Host a Fundraiser or Drive
Hospitality and fundraising volunteers serve on special event and fundraising committees, help with the Sarah’s Inn Holiday Gift Project and other annual events, and host fundraising parties at their homes. For more information on joining a committee or if you have a fundraising idea you want to share, contact Katie Hickman, Development Director at katieh@sarahsinn.org.
Volunteer as a Group
Groups and individuals complete special projects, such as painting or cleaning, as needed. If your group is interested in creating a group volunteer project, contact our Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator, at volunteering@sarahsinn.org
